What if it rains?
How and when do you make the decision to move the concert indoors?
MUSIC IN THE MEADOW CONCERTS will be held in the Trapp Family Lodge concert meadow. In the event of inclement weather on July 10, the Vermont Symphony Orchestra will make the decision as to whether or not to move to the designated rain site – Stowe High School Auditorium. The decision could be delayed until early afternoon. The information will be posted on our homepage.
Stowe Performing Arts will make weather call on August 14 and August 21. Information will be posted on the homepage of this website and in a Constant Contact email. Please be sure to sign up for our emails on this site’s homepage.
Is there a rainsite?
If the forecast calls for significant rain on July 10, August 14 or August 21, the Music in the Meadow concert will be held in the Stowe High School auditorium.
May I still purchase tickets at the door?
But...is it still fun if it rains?
Yes! We can’t control the weather, but we can guarantee great performances. If the rainfall is light and conditions are safe for our performers, we will make every effort to hold the concert in the concert meadow. Bring an umbrella or rain slicker and enjoy the music!
