Stowe Performing Arts
A Note From The Board of Directors
Dear Friends of the Arts,
We write to you with deep gratitude and excitement as Stowe Performing Arts (SPA) approaches a pivotal moment in our organization’s history. After 25 remarkable years, our beloved Executive Director, Lynn Paparella, will be retiring, having left an indelible mark on Stowe’s cultural landscape.
Her unwavering dedication has transformed SPA from a local music initiative into a cornerstone of Vermont culture. Lynn has curated experiences that have touched thousands of lives with exceptional performances – from Bela Fleck to the Lonely Heartstring Band, from the Count Basie Orchestra to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and so much more.
We’re committed to hosting a musical celebration worthy of Lynn’s legacy this season, so we need your help. Our goal is to raise $75,000, and we hope you’ll consider stretching your donation as a tribute to Lynn’s extraordinary contributions.
Ticket sales cover only a fraction of the costs of presenting these events, so your generosity is crucial to sustaining the world-class offerings that have become a hallmark of Stowe Performing Arts.
With your support, we aim to present the following 2025 season:
- The Noon Music in May series – four free concerts in the historic Stowe Community Church – May 7, 14, 21, 28.
- A performance by the Vermont Symphony Orchestra on its Summer Love festival tour on July 6th in the Concert Meadow at the von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort.
- And up to three additional summer concerts in the Meadow, which your gifts will make possible.
How You Can Help:
- We invite you to make a donation on our website or via check mailed to Stowe Performing Arts, P.O. Box 3283, Stowe, VT 05672.
- Please consider making your commitment by May 31st, 2025, so that we can secure top-tier talent and acknowledge your generosity in the programs.
- And, remember, no donation is too large or too small!
We are also excited to announce that Lynn has hand-picked Tanya Kateri to serve alongside her as Interim Executive Director for this transition season. Tanya has enjoyed a long career as a film, television, and theatre executive in NYC and leads several arts and culture nonprofits in Stowe. With Tanya’s vision and experience, SPA will continue to thrive in the years ahead!
A big, BIG thank you to you for being a vital part of our musical family. Together, we can ensure that the music Lynn has so passionately championed continues to inspire and unite our community.
With Deepest Gratitude,
The Stowe Performing Arts Board of Directors
